Private Message to Draco Malfoy
Jan. 3rd, 2012 03:28 pmI can't believe whoever that is thinks he's actually having an effect with those phony grim truth messages. Why doesn't he leave it alone?
If I were Harry, I'd be past furious, too--with that traitor calling him 'my godson' and not using his proper name. Does whoever it is think that's going to do anything but outrage everyone?
It's mad what he says, too. We're making real progress now, and it's down to strong leadership and good enforcement from MLE down to the citizen bands. The Prophet had a really excellent year-in-review on just those things over the weekend. Good bit about your father, too, along with Mr Yaxley and Mr Selwyn.

Date: 2012-01-04 02:05 am (UTC)I think it's safe to say Harry's definitely frustrated. But look, don't bring that "godson" rubbish up. It's better if he's not reminded.
Yeah, I read that piece - spot on, really. Everyone clever knows that the Protectorate is still a work in progress, but still a damn sight better than have to live in hiding and tip-toe around muggles and their destructive ways.

Date: 2012-01-04 04:05 am (UTC)You won't hear me mentioning any of it.
No doubt we're much better off now. No secrecy. No murderous, imbecile muggles running roughshod over everything and everyone and ruining England all ways at once. And what does Black want to see instead of the Protectorate? He wants to pull down society and leave everything a complete muddle. I mean if we're to think no one's better educated or qualified or positioned than anyone else, who would lead or keep things running properly? It would be terrible. That would be like setting the first-years up as Prefects and Head Students over the rest of us. Or putting a house elf in as Headmistress!

Date: 2012-01-04 04:28 am (UTC)And it's well known within my family that he couldn't stand authority of any kind - defied his parents any which way he could, and anyone else who put down rules in front of him. Thinks everyone else should fancy living in a world that's in sixes and sevens just because he does. No, thank you.
