I don't know anything. I've got a few guesses, though. I expect you do, too.

Thing is, those drawings may have been in poor taste, but what they were trying to say- well, you can find a lot of people here in our House who've been thinking that and not saying it.

Longbum and Looney aren't going to give Pansy a smack -

but it's true I don't get what she sees in them. Sally Anne's fine, and Weasley can be semi-competent when he puts his mind to it, but how did Longbum and Looney even get in the mix? I thought they were just Weasley's, you know, Gryffindor charity project, but when she made that post about a "summer with her friends" and then named Sally Anne, Weasley, and Longbum?

She doesn't even see Weasley and Longbum that often. What's that about?

Certainly, there's a difference. Pansy's mistake is costing her respect, whereas Bole was not our sort in another way, but it took longer for anyone--even Daphs--to realise it because, really, Bole was entirely suitable as far as his family's concerned. But then, it's so much clearer in Pansy's case that it's really baffling how she can go on not seeing it.

But what I meant in comparing them is simply that it's one thing to let people you care about make choices like that, and you're right that it's their choice, but when it's not good for them, there's a time, finally, when you can't just stand by. Because then it's on you as well.
