Last night, I duelled for Our Lord, and at the end, He asked what I'd ask as a prize. I asked Him for one of the sapphires in the old Crown jewels. He told me she'd never accept it from me.
There's no hiding anything from Him. I couldn't. Daphs hasn't.
I suppose it feels more final now, and that's just as well.
I wish I thought she'd be happy with him. And it's not as if I'm naive about marriage, you know? Only, I'd like her to have better.
