And before you pass out or keel over, no, this isn't a ghost or an imposter. I'm not dead.

Not something I necessarily want to shout from the mountaintops, but where I'm at we keep up with things, and I know enough to know that my mother and grandmother won't have to face anyone about this. Which is just as well - better they think I'm dead, for now.

Oh, but Teddy really is dead, lest I got your hopes up.

The world was falling apart long before I left it. Sorry it took you til now to realise. Nothing was that different when we were ten; ten is just so far from being a grown up that it can't help but look rosy by comparison. You're forgetting how Ted really was, and "eccentric" doesn't cut it. Remember how we caught him shoveling dirt into that elf's mouth, nose, and ears? So he could see what it was like "to bury something alive?" He was following in the Carrow's tracks, only he happened to be better looking and a bit better at hiding it.

Unfortunate about your mother. You're right, she's not political. But nowadays you can't get away with being apolitical.

If you're so discontent with your life, why not stand up and have a say in it, for once? Because if you don't, everyone will have your say for you, as you've seen of late. And bloody nightshade, if you're in love with Daphne, tell her. Show her. It might not change her mind, but then again, it might.

And no, "that's not happening." But know that despite our differences today, I still hope that you land on your feet, somehow.

But you'll probably have to jump first.
